With this issue, there are no rules. We don’t like rules; literature which pushes past boundaries always intrigues us. Send us your best book, in any genre except erotica. Feel it’s not good enough? Let us be the judge of that. Fiction should not exceed 4, 000 words. Poetry shouldn’t exceed 30 lines. And creative nonfiction should be not cross the 1,000 word mark.
All submissions must be emailed to fictionniche@gmail.com. In the body of the mail, include a short bio. We believe a bio is enough as long as it contains your necessary information. Since this issue is going to be a downloadable issue, we won’t be including many pictures as this increases the size of the file and discourages downloads.
We will try to publish as many works as possible on this one. In the past, we published not more than ten works. We will stretch ourselves a little more now. The readers, the poetry editor, and I will be working overtime. So, expect to receive a response from us within 5 days—send a query if you don’t hear from us after a week.
Sadly, we will no longer be giving detailed feedback. And, as uncomfortable as this makes me, we will also not be able to pay our contributors. We are hoping this changes before the next call. I know it will.
Don’t send spams. Do not send in another work after two rejections. Respond to acceptance promptly, so an editor can be assigned to you. We will stop receiving submissions on the 20th of July. Thank you for considering Fiction Niche!
